Festival of World Cultures 2010

A great weekend was had at the Festival of World Cultures, 24th-25th of July

We’ve just enjoyed our fourth and most successful Festival of World Cultures to date. This year, the MSF tent was bigger and busier than ever, with lots of people drawn in by the striking Haiti Six Months photo exhibition which we had outside the tent.

Kids and their parents loved the MUAC bracelets and samples of plumpy nut, as well as the “Guess How Many ‘Pills’ in the Jar” game.   Congratulations to nine-year old Theo Brady whose guess of 267 was closest and who is now the proud wearer of an MSF teeshirt!

In total over 200,000 people attended the Festival, and with the weather being beautifully warm & sunny, Dun Laoghaire was the definitely place to be.

Many thanks to all the volunteers and expats who came along especially to Dr. Fergus Glynn who was just freshly arrived home from his first mission in Niger.
