"This resource covers body parts and illnesses, how to give instructions using the imperative (keeping safe during Covid-19), and information about MSF’s work worldwide during the pandemic. These resources were produced at the start of the pandemic, so it may be an interesting way to look back at how the situation was developing at the time.

The resource has been created by Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) using our authentic materials. Teachers are encouraged to review and select content and activities to best match their students’ needs. "

A Level resources

The texts in this resource are based on news articles about three different topics linked to MSF’s current work. For each topic, there are two exam-style texts of approximately 100 words (one in English and one in German) to translate into the opposite language. It is designed to be used for Year 13 translation and exam practice, and is ideal for revision, homework, cover work or independent study.

Although it does not match any exam board specifications as it is not linked to a German-speaking country, it could be used more broadly to develop vocabulary and skills linked to the themes of Multiculturalism in German-speaking society (AQA) and German immigration and multicultural society (Edexcel). This resource is also available in French and Spanish.

The resource has been created by Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) using our authentic materials. Teachers are encouraged to review and select content and activities to best match their students’ needs.
